A Rock-Hunting Adventure with the Sweetest Fam

Some sessions just stick with you—and this one? It completely stole my heart. 🥹✨ From the moment we started, I knew this wasn’t going to be a typical photoshoot. It was a full-on rock hunt, complete with pockets full of treasures, belly laughs, a couple of tiny tears, and the kind of magic you only get when you let kids just be kids.

We ventured into the desert sunshine for what was supposed to be a Mommy & Me session, and it turned into something so much more. The girls—two tiny explorers with the biggest imaginations—were far more interested in their growing rock collection than my camera, and honestly? I was totally okay with that. Watching them light up every time they found their “favorite” one was pure joy. 🪨💫

Of course, in between rock discoveries and pulling cactus thorns out of little feet, we managed to sneak in some truly precious moments between mom and her girls. Those quiet snuggles, playful twirls, and gentle kisses—the kind of fleeting connection that makes these sessions so special. And yes, we even convinced Dad to jump in for a few frames (no rock bribes required, surprisingly!). 😄

These are the moments I live for: not the perfectly posed, but the perfectly real. The unfiltered giggles, the messy hair, the dusty shoes, and the magic of kids being their wild, wonderful selves.
