There are some sessions that just stick with you—the kind where the love, laughter, and chaos come together in the most beautiful way.
This one? It had all of that and more.
On a classic humid Illinois afternoon, I met up with Midhat, Nazma, and their two sweet littles: Shani and Sahel. And let me tell you—they brought the joy, the movement, and the heart.
Big Energy, Tiny Binoculars
Five-year-old Shani showed up ready to explore. Like, seriously ready—with her binoculars in her backpack and enough energy to power us all. She bounced from moment to moment with curiosity and confidence, fully living in her own little world of wonder.
Then there was one-year-old Sahel—quieter, more reserved, taking it all in with those soulful brown eyes. He was content tucked in close, observing the world from the comfort of Mama or Daddy’s arms.
Together, these two made the perfect pair: bold and gentle, wild and soft.
The Beauty of the Little Years
This session was everything I love about photographing young families. It wasn’t perfect—and that’s what made it perfect.
We walked, we snuggled, and we danced right through the beautiful chaos that comes with having littles.
It was real. And that’s the good stuff.
Because these are the moments that matter. The ones you’ll look back on when their shoes are bigger and their hands don’t reach for yours as often. These are the seasons that move fast—but deserve to be remembered slow.
