A Wildly Unforgettable New Mexico Proposal | Logan & Chasity’s Surprise Engagement at Sunset

Some stories are meant to be told forever—and Logan and Chasity’s surprise proposal is definitely one of them.

Back in January, Logan started planning a secret proposal for the love of his life, Chasity. For months, he carried this beautiful surprise in his heart, waiting for just the right moment. When he finally reached out to get the wheels in motion for a surprise engagement session, I was all in from the first message.

But like any great love story, this one came with its fair share of twists and turns—literally.

The day of the session started like any other, until a massive New Mexico storm rolled in just hours before we were set to meet. The skies darkened, the wind picked up, and we all started wondering if we were going to have to postpone… or risk being drenched. Logan stayed calm. Chasity had no idea. And I? Well, I kept my eye on the radar and hoped for a miracle.

And guess what? We got one.

Just before golden hour, the clouds began to part and the most cinematic sunset emerged—soft, golden, and glowing. It felt like the heavens opened up just for them. We got to shooting, and even though a few sprinkles made a return mid-session, everything was falling beautifully into place.

Until we got the wild news.

As we were walking toward the perfect spot for the proposal, a couple came over to let us know they had just seen a group of wild boars nearby. Yes, wild boars. So now, on top of proposal nerves, unpredictable weather, and a big moment to capture—we were also on animal alert. (If that doesn’t define “on-your-toes photography,” I don’t know what does.)

Finally, the big moment came. Logan took a deep breath, walked with Chasity to a quiet clearing—and dropped to one knee.

Cue the chaos… and the joy.

As Logan proposed, Chasity shrieked—an actual scream of surprise and happiness. Poor Logan thought he had knelt on a snake and quite literally jumped up. 😂 Her joy echoed through the entire park and instantly brought smiles (and maybe some nervous laughs) all around.

In the middle of all that unpredictability—the weather, the wildlife, the nerves—Logan and Chasity had their perfect moment. Honest, spontaneous, golden, and real.

And I had the absolute honor of capturing it all.
